Putu rounds up

Putu's becoming fat and lazy and rounding up nicely in time for the forthcoming winter. If you have any blankets (preferably moth eaten) and or duvets that you might want to donate to the cause of Putu surviving a Massachusetts winter (where Putu has just teleported from the temperate climes of Bangalore), please do contact us. On that note..Ian Kershaw watches a spine chilling re-enactment of Hitler's last days, is impressed, but wouldn't want this to start off an avalanche of 'Hitler as a human being' movies. To quote the venerable Dr Kershaw, perhaps the foremost living expert on the Fuhrer: "I am, of course, not suggesting that there should be a veto or censorship on the making of such films - Germany is a mature and stable enough democracy to put up with them. But are they needed? Will they bring new insights? Will it become any clearer why the people of a highly advanced, politically pluralistic, economically advanced, modern society thought, threequarters of a century ago, they had found national salvation in Hitler? Does German need this type of reminder of its past in order not to forget it?"

Those who share the Forebrain's proclivity for bad Hollywood romantic comedies on the other hand, will be pleased to know that today is the release of Wimbledon. Putu having prowled around the hallowed turf can cast a perspicacious eye on the on screen activities of Bettany and Dunst. (Putu will also sit for the GRE soon...so Putu is both a puissant and perspicacious feline for the present moment). Here's a sneak preview of what to expect.

Putu's headed right back underneath that blanket where Putu will await further donations..
